ABOUT THE change agent AWARD

Operation Changing the World One STEM at a Time Inc. was launched in 2016 while Ambria Berksteiner attended

Spelman College. Operation Changing the World One STEM at a Time works to provide young Women of Color with innovate and diverse places of learning when it comes to being exposed to STEM. We work towards captivating their attention through innovative projects and sessions, making an outwardly boring subject to some enjoyable through imagination and creativity. We have positively impacted over 450 girls already. This scholarship will serve as a catalyst to a young lady's STEM education.The award is a $1,000 one-time, non-renewable award.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicant must be a female currently enrolled as a high school senior in a SCCPSS Public School
Applicant must identify as a female who intends to major at an ABET accredited university in engineering, computing, or engineering technology program.
Applicant must be able to provide proof of enrollment if chosen as a scholarship recipient for the coming academic year, starting in the fall.
Applicant must not be receiving full funding from another organization.
Application must be postmarked by April 24, 2020.

Two reference forms (one from a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator; the second can be another high school teacher, counselor, or administrator or someone else who knows the applicant personally, such as a coach, mentor, or employer)
